Wash your hair before your procedure, as your won’t be able to do so for a couple days after the sessions.
Marking and planning: After numbing, the practitioner may mark the areas on the scalp and hairline to be treated. This step helps guide the treatment process, whether it involves hair restoration techniques or scalp treatments.
Treatment application: Depending on the specific treatment being performed, this stage may involve applying topical solutions, serums, or medications to the scalp and hairline. The practitioner may use targeted methods to deliver the treatment to the desired areas. This step can take a few minutes.
Post-treatment and aftercare: Once the treatment application is complete, the practitioner will provide instructions for post-treatment care. They may give guidelines on washing the scalp, avoiding certain activities, and using any recommended products for optimal results and healing. This stage may involve a brief discussion and can take around 5-10 minutes
DO NOT engage in any activities that can lead to excessive sweating as it could interrupt the healing process.
DO NOT scrub or shampoo for 2 days following the procedure. Scrubbing the scalp can break the skin and open wounds, and shampooing can introduce harsh chemicals.
DO NOT shave or irritate area.
DO NOT expose your scalp to sunlight or UV devices.
DO NOT touch your scalp with uncleaned hands. You can introduce unwanted bacteria and increase the risk of infection.
DO NOT exfoliate until after your touch-up.
Dab the treated area with a wet cloth to clean starting the 3rd day.
DO NOT scratch your scalp. The skin on your scalp may begin to peel during these next few days. It’s important that you avoid scratching or picking any scabs that my form to avoid premature peeling.
DO NOT use hair and/or scalp treatments until after you have healed from the touch-up appointment.
DO NOT use hair products on your scalp.
You can start doing light intensity workouts.
You can carefully shave or cut your hair if needed. You should also continue rinsing lightly with water to clean the area.
Applying a moisture will also help the healing stage during this time. Just make sure it’s fragrance free.
