Brow Care for Newbies

Good Brows = Good Days

Just like any good relationship, your microbladed eyebrows need regular love and care. Here are some tips for keeping them looking fresh and beautiful!

4 Ways to Fresh Brows:

Apply Sunscreen

Always apply a layer of sunscreen on your eyebrows as sun exposure (and even UV rays from a tanning booth) can accelerate fading of the color pigment.

Avoid harsh chemicals and exfoliators

Chemicals (e.g. retinoids, AHAs, and BHAs) as well as physical exfoliators that help to increase cellular turnover will accelerate fading of pigmentation on your brows. So make sure to avoid the eye brows when exfoliating or applying chemical treatments.

Too much sweat can fade your brows

Excessive sweating encourages the release of pigment from the skin and draws them to the surface. Sweat also acts as a dissolving agent for the pigment in the skin and promotes fading. Something to keep in mind during very intense workouts or frequent visits to the sauna.

Time for a touchup

If your brows are starting to look non-existent or you are back to the laborious task of filling them in, then it may be time for a touch-up so you can wake up to perfect-looking brows again!
