What’s the difference between Nano Needle and Microblading?
Both techniques aim to create natural, hair-like brows — but the method and long-term results are very different.
Microblading is done manually with a blade, creating small cuts in the skin to deposit pigment. While it can work short-term, it’s more invasive and often leads to faster fading, pigment migration, or scarring — especially for oily, sensitive, or mature skin.
At Moai, we exclusively perform Nano Needling, a more advanced, machine-based method that uses an ultra-fine needle to gently deposit pigment without cutting the skin. It’s safer, less traumatic, and suitable for all skin types.
In addition to precision and better healed results, Nano Needling also stimulates natural collagen production. This means not only beautifully shaped brows, but also healthier skin over time — smoother, firmer, and more resilient with each session.
We moved away from microblading because we believe your brows should age as gracefully as you do. Nano lets us create results that are soft, tailored, and lasting — and we’ve refined the technique to an art.
Powder Ombré brows are created using nano shading to build a soft gradient — lighter at the front, more defined toward the tail. Combination Brows blend fine hair-like strokes at the front with gentle shading through the rest of the brow for added structure and fullness.
You don’t need to choose the technique yourself — that’s our job. We’ll assess your skin type, facial features, and desired outcome to recommend the most flattering and long-lasting approach.
Every brow we create is customized with precision and purpose — never one-size-fits-all.
What’s the difference between Lip Neutralization, Lip Expansion, and Lip Blushing?
These techniques are all designed to enhance the lips — but each serves a different purpose based on your natural tone, shape, and aesthetic goals:
Lip Neutralization is for clients with cool, dark, or uneven lip tones. This process gently lifts and balances melanin-rich lips to create a more even, natural base. It’s the first step before adding color for those with darker or purplish undertones.
Lip Expansion is a visual enhancement technique. Using strategic shading just outside the natural lip line, we create the illusion of fuller, more symmetrical lips — without fillers. It’s subtle but transformative.
Lip Blushing enhances the lips with a soft wash of color — think tinted balm effect. It boosts natural tone, defines the shape, and adds a healthy flush while still looking effortless.
Not sure which is right for you? Don’t worry — your artist will guide you through the best option based on your skin tone, healing goals, and long-term vision.
Only if your artist specifically recommends it during your consultation.
This add-on is reserved for cases where lips have melanin-rich undertones or a thicker dermis, which require more time to gently build and balance pigment. If your lips don’t need it, adding an extra hour can lead to over-saturation and compromise your results.
Please don’t book this add-on unless your artist has advised you to — we want your lips to heal beautifully and evenly, without unnecessary layering.
Old tattoo correction refers to the process of modifying or improving an existing tattoo that may have faded, become distorted, or no longer meets the person’s aesthetic preferences. This can involve techniques such as cover-ups, color blending, or adding additional elements to enhance or transform the original tattoo design.
We include your first touch-up — scheduled 4–6 weeks after your initial brow appointment — because healing is a process, and perfection takes time.
Once your brows have healed, you may notice small areas that need a bit more pigment or subtle tweaks you’d like to make. We want you to live with your new brows, see them in different lighting, and feel 100% confident in them. This complimentary session gives you the chance to make those refinements without any added cost.
At Moai, we always start conservatively — using soft color and minimal layering to keep results natural and skin-friendly. It’s part of our philosophy: it’s much better to add more later than to go too bold from the start.
The touch-up is our way of making sure your final result is exactly how you want it — nothing rushed, nothing overdone. Just natural, effortless beauty.
We actually recommend waiting as long as possible before scheduling a maintenance touch-up.
Each touch-up deposits more pigment into the skin, and because we specialize in soft, natural results, we want to avoid oversaturating the area unnecessarily. Our goal is to keep your brows looking fresh and effortless — not heavy or overworked.
If you’re unsure whether it’s time, feel free to send us a photo. We’ll take a look and let you know if a touch-up is needed or if it’s best to wait a bit longer.
A little tip: consistent SPF use on your brows will help extend the life of your pigment significantly — many clients don’t need a refresh for 1–2+ years after their initial session.
Less is often more — and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. 💛
A tightline tattoo, also known as lash line enhancement, is a delicate cosmetic tattoo where pigment is carefully implanted along the upper or lower lash line — not inside the eye.
The needle used is extremely fine, and while the idea can seem a little intimidating, rest assured: the procedure is performed in a completely safe, sterile environment by experienced professionals.
This treatment gives the appearance of fuller lashes and softly defined eyes, without the look of obvious eyeliner — ideal for anyone seeking a natural, low-maintenance enhancement.
