Clean & Numb

20 minutes - Upon arrival for your initial appointment, we will clean your brows and apply a layer of numbing cream on your eyebrow area, allowing 20 minutes for it to take effect.

 
 

Discussion

20 minutes - During numbing, we will get to know your desired style - we will chat and go over what you’re looking for. Based on your comments and requests, we’ll provide feedback and go through a small Q&A session to figure out how we can best enhance your brows to their best version, and we’ll also make suggestions for the best technique to achieve your dream brows.

 
 

Design

15-20 minutes - After we’ve established your desired shape and your brows are numb, we will use a pencil to design the shape for your approval.
We can take as long as it needs and tweak them until you are satisfied. We will NOT start the permanent makeup process until you give the OK. 

Please take your time, be picky and speak up. It’s very important. 

Please note that we try to reserve as much of your own brow hair as possible. 

 
 

Procedure

45-60 minutes - This is when the magic happens! It’s painless and relaxing. Feel free to bring your own headphones for entertainment. We have music playing if you don’t have yours.

 
 

Once finished, we will schedule your touch-up appointment, which will be between 4-6 weeks from your initial appointment date.  We will also go over aftercare with you and collect payment at this time.

During your touch-up appointment, which will be scheduled 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment, we will numb your brows and go over your brows to apply more ink where needed and to ensure perfection!

Semi—permanent cosmetics lasts on average 1-2 years. While there is no fixed or set date on when you should come back for another touch-up, since all skin holds pigment differently, we ask clients to gauge based on their own standards when they should come back for their touch-up.

During your first visit to Moai, consider your brow art work to be 60% finished. We take the conservative approach with both ink and shape because we can always add more but cannot take off semi-permanent work.
